
Vegetable Cutlet with RiceFlakes/Poha/ Aval
How to make Vegetable Cutlet with Rice flakes /Poha/Aval a South Indian Snack.
Equipment
- 2 Bowls
- 1 deep fry pan
Ingredients
- 1 cup Poha/Aval/Rice flakes
- 3 nos Potato Medium Size
- 2 nos Carrot Small Size , Chopped
- 5 nos Green Beans Chopped
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder Optional
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt
- 1/2 cup Chopped Onions Optional
- Oil Frying
- 2 tbsp Corn Flour
- 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
- 2 tbsp Water
Instructions
- Cook the potato till soft ,remove the skin and mah it to a smooth paste.
- Cook the green beans and carrot till soft.
- Wash the poha/riceflakes/aval in water 2 to 3 times. The poha will become soft ,mash it without lumps.
- Now mix the vegetables ,washed mashed poha/aval/riceflakes ,chilli powder,salt,turmeric powder, garam masala in a bowl.
- Make a medium round flat shape cutlet .Repeat the same.
- Mix the corn flour and water in a bowl.
- Now dip the cutlet in this mixture one by one and roll it with bread crumbs.
- Repeat the same.
- Deep fry the cutlet in a hot oil till goilden brown by fliping both sides.
- Serve with Tomato Ketchup or Sauce.
