Wheat Flour Kara Paniyaram

A simple quick delicious Kara Paniyaram with wheat flour , rice flour and curd/yogurt.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/4 cup Semolina/ Rava/Sooji
  • 1/4 cup Curd or Yogurt
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup Onions Chopped
  • 1/4 cup Grated Carrots
  • 2 no's Green Chilies Chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 5 no's Curry Leaves Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Batter Making : Mix the wheat flour, rice flour semolina/sooji/rava , curd/yogurt salt and water without lumps. Rest for 15 minutes. Add water(1/4 cup) if it is too thick.
  • Fry the onions ,chilies, ginger and curry leaves till onions are translucent.
  • Mix it with the batter and the grated carrots too.
  • Heat the panniyaram pan by adding 1 or 2 tbsp oil in each hole.
  • Take a ladle full of batter and fill each hole to half (half full in each hole)
  • Allow to cook till the bottom is golden brown. Flip the other side and do the same.
  • Remove it and place it in a plate.
  • Repeat the same process with the rest of the batter.
  • Serve with kara chutney.
