
Mullu Murukku
How to make Mullu Murukku with rice flour , gram flour and butter
Equipment
- 1 bowl
- 1 deep fry pan
- Chakli Maker
Ingredients
- 3 cups Rice Flour
- 1 cup Roasted Moong Dal Flour/Pasiparuppu/ yellow Gram Flour
- 1/4 cup Roasted Gram Flour/Pottukadalai
- 1 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 2 1/2 tbsp Butter
- Salt
- Oil For Frying Murukku
Instructions
- Roast the lentils to light golden brown colour. Cool it and grind it to a fine powder. Seive it .Mix all the above with water little by little to form a smooth dough without any lumps. Not too thick but soft and smooth
- Insert a rectangular shape dough into the chakkli maker with the star mould and make any desire shape.
- Heat a pan with oil for deep frying . Deep fry it in a medium flame by flipping both sides to a light golden brown colour for a crispier murukku. Remove it place it in a plate. Repeat the same with the rest of the dough.
- Store it in a air tight container.
