How to make an Indian sweet Motichoor Laddo with gram flour boondis fried and dipped in sugar syrup to make ladoos.

Equipment

  • 1 pan For Frying
  • 1 Big Bowl For mixing batter
  • 1 pan For making sugar syrup.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Gram Flour
  • 150 ml Water
  • 3/4` cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • Almonds Sliced
  • Melon Seeds
  • Orange Colour
  • Oil For Frying
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder

Instructions
 

  • Cook sugar with 1/2 cup of water in a pan till it dissolves. Add orange colour, cardamom powder. Switch off the flame.
  • Mix the gram flour with 150 ml of water without any lumps in a bowl. Add colour as desired.
  • Heat oil in a pan for frying. Hold the perforated spoon over the oil and pour a little batter over it and pass the batter through it to make boondis.
    Fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Remove the boondis drain completely over the paper towel. Grind coarsely and evenly in a mixer in pulse mode to make small boondis.
  • Add these boondis to the sugar syrup, cook over a medium flame till the water absorbs. It should be moist, if not add 1 or 2 tbsp hot water to it.
  • Add cardamom powder, almonds,melon seeds. Mix it.
  • Divide into 15 portion to make round shape ladoos.
