
Motichoor Laddo
How to make an Indian sweet Motichoor Laddo with gram flour boondis fried and dipped in sugar syrup to make ladoos.
Equipment
- 1 pan For Frying
- 1 Big Bowl For mixing batter
- 1 pan For making sugar syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Gram Flour
- 150 ml Water
- 3/4` cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 tsp Ghee
- Almonds Sliced
- Melon Seeds
- Orange Colour
- Oil For Frying
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
Instructions
- Cook sugar with 1/2 cup of water in a pan till it dissolves. Add orange colour, cardamom powder. Switch off the flame.
- Mix the gram flour with 150 ml of water without any lumps in a bowl. Add colour as desired.
- Heat oil in a pan for frying. Hold the perforated spoon over the oil and pour a little batter over it and pass the batter through it to make boondis.Fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Remove the boondis drain completely over the paper towel. Grind coarsely and evenly in a mixer in pulse mode to make small boondis.
- Add these boondis to the sugar syrup, cook over a medium flame till the water absorbs. It should be moist, if not add 1 or 2 tbsp hot water to it.
- Add cardamom powder, almonds,melon seeds. Mix it.
- Divide into 15 portion to make round shape ladoos.
